Hello again! Hello Etsy!

Dear readers, long time no hear ... But we are here! And we're steadily working to the limit! So many nice, exciting, beautiful things to share, but time is short...

Liebe Leser, lange haben wir nichts von uns hören lassen... aber, hey, wir sind immer noch da! Und wir arbeiten konstant bis zum Limit! So viele nette, aufregende und schöne Dinge und Orte und Projekte haben wir zu berichten, aber Zeit ist rar...

Hello Etsy! Two weeks ago, we have been heading to Berlin to join the Summit on small business and sustainability - the first conference hold by Etsy. So excited! We knew, we would meet a lot of online-friends for the first time. And at the end, we feel, this was really the most exciting part of Hello Etsy. So many souls working on the same big project: Growing their own small business and making the world a bit better by defending handicraft against the big players of economy.

Vor zwei Wochen waren wir auf dem Weg nach Berlin zum ersten Hello Etsy! Einer Konferenz zu Kleinen Unternehmen und Nachhaltigkeit. - Der ersten Konferenz, die Etsy ausgerichtet hat. Unser persönliches Highlight war es viele Online-Freunde das erste Mal im wirklichen Leben zu sehen. So viele Seelen, die alle an einem großen Projekt arbeiten: Ihr kleines Unternehmen wachsen zu lassen und die Welt damit ein bisschen besser zu machen, das Handwerk gegen die großen Spieler in der Wirtschaft zu verteidigen.

We started at Hudson's with Scones and Tea and met some of the Etsy Germany Streetteam Members there for the first time. Well, we love Scones, since our last Trip to London and it was so nice to see, that all of us seemed to  feel, that we know each other since long, even though we didn't meet face to face before. So, we can say, Hello Etsy had a great start!
Then the Etsy Headquaters in Berlin invited for the Community Organizer Round Table, hosted by Morgan Evans and  Danielle Maveal from Etsy Brooklyn. Etsy really sees success happens via Community Building. A strong team needs strong leadership and a vision - interesting for our new project in Munich!

Wir begannen bei Hudson's mit Scones und Tee und trafen dort einige Germany Streetteam Mitglieder das erste mal. Nun ja, wir lieben Scones seit unserem letzten London Trip und es war eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung, dass alle das Gefühl zu haben schienen, dass wir uns schon lange kennen, auch wenn wir uns gerade das erste mal trafen. Also, Hello Etsy hatte einen großartigen Start!
Dann ging es zu den Etsy Räumen in Berlin für den Community Organizer Round Table mit Morgan Evans and  Danielle Maveal. Etsy hält Community Building für ein wichtiges Element auf dem Weg zum Erfolg. Ein starkes Team braucht eine starke Führung und eine Vision -  interessant für unser neues Projekt in München!

And then, the next morning it went to the full... Matt Stinchcomb and Emily Pelich opened the official part and then all the sessions started... And we have been so excited to hear and look, that we even forgot to take photos :D
The program was so stuffed, that we even split up to hear more lecturers.

Und dann am nächsten Morgen ging es in die Vollen... Matt Stinchcomb und Emily Pelich eröffneten den offiziellen Teil und wir waren so im Bann interessanter Vorträge, dass wir ganz vergessen haben Fotos zu schießen :D 
Das Programm war so voll, dass wir uns für viele Vorträge aufgeteilt haben.

For next time, we would make appointments around the conference with of our online- friends before, because we say hello just to some, and to some we just say hello, although we would have loved to have a longer chat. And we would love to have team-round-tables for our main teams the Germanystreet-Team and the Europeanstreet-Team.

Beim nächsten mal würden wir uns mit unseren Online-Freunden vorher verabreden, weil wir nur zu manchen Hallo sagen konnten, und zu manchen nur Hallo gesagt haben, obwohl wir uns so gerne länger unterhalten hätten. Und wir würden uns Runde Tische für unsere Haupt-Teams, das Germanystreet-Team und das Europeanstreet-Team wünschen.
